After all this time, always.

Letizia Romanini conceives arrangements and processes to visualize conditions and dimensions – such as time, chance or light – that have an enduring formative influence on our lives but are not directly tangible. Her studio functions as a kind of laboratory in which she observes, experiments and analyzes: in this way, for example, she visually demonstrates the impact of light on the fibres of different textile materials – a process lasting for months – or creates traces of wear on copper and brass sheets over the course of a participative action whereby the visitors to an exhibition opening walked across them for an entire evening (Kleinkariert, 2018).
The fantastic assemblages and arrangements which the artist presents in the exhibition space, therefore, represent the often surprising findings of completed experimental processes. They are intended to stimulate our awareness of hidden structures and the passage of ever-dominant time.
