STURTEVANT
22 June – 5 September 2017

Sturtevant was born August 23, 1924. She died May 7, 2014. During the last decade of her life, she was pursued by retrospection and kept a little ahead of it by means of beautiful sprints of art. The work is overseen by her daughter, Loren Muzzey, without whom this exhibition would remain in the warehouse of good intention, and by those who try to keep the work in motion.

The exhibition was organized by Robert Snowden and Julien Laugier. It was produced by Gavin Brown, Francis Carlow, Lucy Chadwick, Graham Macbeth, and Jesse Walker. Thanks to everyone at GBE, Galerie Thaddaeus Ropac, Eleanor Cayre, Lisa Roumell, and Lucas Quigley.
