ANDREAS GOLDER

ANDREAS GOLDER SHOWS US A CONT...

Andreas Golder shows us a controversial view of the world.
He's using influences by different periods of painting and combines them with a styled attitude to life which he comes across in the center of Berlin.
As subject appear figures, which on one hand seem to live an entertaining life and on the other hand are fading away in their own surroundings. Sometimes they actually perish in their environment.
Once posing young people are stepping through the canvas. They are floating in the pictorial space, double their existence or stumble on a staircase. Illustrating elements meet abstract forms and become an united space.
Golders works don't indulge in a formal way. His painting is pure. He gives his privat universe a form, which effects the viewer unready and provocative. Andreas Golder knows what he wants - as a painter he's painting things which are actually non-effable. The lifestyle of credent people and simple failure of urban actions are his themes.
He's working most of the time with photographic material in combination with found materials, which he's reducing to the minimal. In the process of painting he's changing it strongly.
Often he's using his friends and himself are models.

Andreas Golder was born in 1979* in Ekatharienenburg and is painting since he's 6 years old. He lives and works since 1997 in Berlin. Since 2003 he studies painting at the University of Arts in Berlin. The exhibition at the Klara Wallner Gallery will be his 6th single-person show.
