Jochem Hendricks, known throughout Germany for work addressing complex moral issues, will present his first exhibition with Haunch of Venison throughout September.

Hendricks' practice explores the social codes and boundaries that we live by, questioning received ideas surrounding beauty and value. Projects often involve investigative processes more normally associated with scientific enquiry, question the boundaries of legality and use materials that raise complex moral and ethical issues.

The new exhibition is to present several recent projects including a series of works using organic matter - birds, a human leg and a human ear - transmuted into diamonds, and a new installation work which confronts the viewer with a threatening pack of illegal fighting dogs.
