Florencia’s workshops in Grenoble invite participants to a nocturnal experience in daytime through the construction of a singular, imaginary world. The meetings will offer experiences based, among others, on visualizations, dreams, blindfold activities, and sensory exercises. The goal of these experiments is to generate and develop singular attention to some, more or less ordinary, experiences; to amplify the field of perception, normally limited to the visual field; to learn various modes of visual production; and, as a result, to produce a work of individual and collective imagination.
Florencia Rodrigues Giles will be working this summer with several groups from the EHPAD Saint Bruno; Solexine; the Groupe d’Entreaide Mutuelle (G.E.M.); and the Pôle d’Animation Gérontologique Intergénérationnel – Sector 4.
Biography:
The work of this Argentine artist, born in 1978, is unlike anything we have seen before. A performer, visual artist, choreographer, winner of the 2015 Braque Award..., she is at home in the plurality of contemporary artistic and therapeutic practices. Her work adopts a variety of forms: she uses Facebook to attempt to create a collective dream as well as personally attends the bedside of children receiving palliative care. Her engagement is multilateral and profoundly transversal, and nothing like academic postures.
