PUBLIC MOVEMENT is a participatory exhibition project that examines how the human body’s presence and movement have been used to express liberation, resistance, political expression, and the assertion of individual identity. The project roams the borderland between exhibition and practice. Shows and workshops mix with works by contemporary artists who in different ways explore the body’s movement in relation to norms, popular culture, and various public and commercial spaces.
PUBLIC MOVEMENT is a continuation of the experimental project ACTIONPAINTINGBABYSPLASH!, which occupied the borderland between exhibition and creative workshop at på Moderna Museet Malmö in 2015.
