Over the past two years Ofili has worked on a substantial suite of paintings and works on paper inspired by Ovid's Metamorphoses as part of Metamorphosis: Titian 2012, a unique collaboration between the National Gallery and The Royal Opera House. Working alongside choreographers and dancers from The Royal Ballet on sets and costumes for a new ballet Diana & Actaeon has been a revelation to the artist and has sparked a prodigious body of work which is still ongoing. Victoria Miro presents paintings, drawings and works on paper from this Ovidian series.
