2018 begins with a separate exhibition with Jens Fänge, born 1965 and resident in Stockholm. This will be the first major separate exhibition in an institution for the artist. The exhibition will focus on recent years’ production and also includes new works created specifically for the exhibition in Bonniers Konsthall.
Fänge has developed his artistry over the last years and he has started using the exhibition rooms more scenographically. In his paintings we meet labyrinthine dreamlike spaces, where paintings in the painting, with motifs from other works by the artist, return – resulting in comparisons with Russian dolls or Chinese boxes. Internationally, his work has been shown in exhibitions in Paris and Hong Kong 2016-2017.
