Daniel Reich Gallery is pleased to announce “Darjeeling,” an exhibition of artwork by artists Mike Smith and Jeffrey Tranchell. Both artists’ work reflects a navigation of process that preserves “the incidentals” along the way. “Darjeeling” is next in a lineage of informal exhibitions held at the Chelsea Hotel and sponsored by the Daniel Reich Gallery; by using this space, both artists exhibit their work outside of the traditional “white box” and combine their work in a domestic space as installation. While each artist works separately, exhibiting the work together emphasizes the investigative, formalist manner through which each approaches his work.
