Gagosian Gallery is pleased to present recent work by Albert Oehlen.
Albert Oehlen was born in 1954 in Krefeld, Germany and studied at the Hochschule für Bildende Kunst. From 2000-09 he was a professor of painting at the Kunstakademie, Düsseldorf. Recent solo exhibitions include Musée d'art moderne et contemporain de Strasbourg (2002); "I know whom you showed last summer," Museum of Contemporary Art, Miami (2005); "Réalité abstraite," Musée d'art moderne de la ville de Paris (2009); "Albert Oehlen-Werke aus der Sammlung," Räume für Kunst (2010); Carré d'Art-Musée d'art contemporain de Nimes (2011); and "Painting from the Zabludowicz Collection: Albert Oehlen," Zabludowicz Collection, London (2013). His work will be included in the 2013 Venice Bienalle, and a major solo exhibition will open later this year at the Museum Moderner Kunst, Vienna.
