Ibid

The concept behind the gallery, Ibidem (lat. ‘the same place’) was to produce a mobile platform to promote contemporary art and culture. By setting up parallel spaces in London and Vilnius (Lithuania) between 2003 – 06, IBID sought to activate dialogue between fundamentally different contexts, such as east and west, commercial contemporary art and the solely experimental.

Ibid. continued to produce and curate one – off projects in geographically and culturally diverse locations, such as Riga, Warsaw, Athens, New York and Los Angeles as well as other venues across London, most recently taking over a three – storey former textiles factory on Hoxton Square for a series of exhibitions and screenings where we are currently now based.

Ibid. continuously produces innovative curatorial collaborations, commissions and publications, often in association with institutions, publishers and other galleries worldwide.
