On the 8th, 9th and 10th of October 2009 Indigo Fera Art productions will present, with the support of Ileana Tounta Contemporary Art Centre, the performance-installation ‘EN ON’.
On the first floor of Ileana Tounta Contemporary Art Center, Yumiko Yoshioka will perform the birth and metamorphosis of a being, on a unique installation composed by a mirror-like stage made of plexi-glass.
This exceptional synergy of the gallery’s environment, the installation and Yumiko’s dance aims to create a series of different stimuli that will essentially help the guests to prepare themselves for their own personal process, to experience their own personal metamorphosis.
Yumiko Yoshioka is one of the most eminent butoh dancers in Europe. Born in Tokyo, she has been living in Germany since 1988. Dancer, choreographer, as well as an instructor, she travels throughout the world for seminars and performances. She is one of the founding members and the artistic director of the art-formation group “TEN PEN Chii art labor” located in Germany. The group’s work concentrates on the interactivity between dance, space and visual arts.
