Fifty graphic artworks from the late work of the renowned architect and designer Josef Hoffmann (1870–1956) will be presented in the show Drawings by Josef Hoffmann. Presentation of a Donation. A generous donation of the Wittmann Möbelwerkstätten GmbH will in this way be officially handed over to the MAK.

The donation encompasses design drafts and architectural drawings from the 1930s to the 1950s. Highlights are the extensive works for the interior design of the residential and business building of the Stern family and the competition project for the palace of the Great National Assembly of Turkey in Ankara, as well as the designs for his last, unrealized major project, the city hall in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

The MAK is in possession of 7,000 drawings by Josef Hoffmann and, with the acquisition of these late works, fills a gap in its inventory
