Mark Hamilton works with stringent spatial installation, often combining cultural and sub-cultural references with a formal reflexivity to areas of recent art history. His work examines the roles of objects as containers of meaning, or as carriers of value.He has previously taken part in group exhibitions at Kunstraum Niederösterreich in Vienna, Glue in Berlin, IKON gallery in Birmingham and The Modern Institute in Glasgow. Hamilton had his first institutional solo show at Artists Space in New York in 2006. He is represented by Galerie b2 in Leipzig.
