DNK-Amsterdam and NIMk present AIDS-3D in Amsterdam
A SUMMER PROJECT AT NIMK WITH 3 INSTALLATIONS BY AIDS-3D

NEW INNOVATIONS
The title New Innovations is a classic example of a tautology, a redundant (but always true) statement. In the exhibition, information asymmetries are short-circuited and power dynamics reflected towards infinity. Installed in the NIMK theatre, the spectators become active performers engaging and interacting with the works. Keller and Kosmas' new works play with our contemporary conceptions of the value of art, the value of value, the energy of value, and the power of those networks in our society where value exchange takes place.

AIDS-3D mashes technology, theory, high art and daily objects in mixed-media works. They produce sculptures, 2-dimensional works, computer installations and performance based pieces that appear on the internet, in museums, galleries, clubs or shopping windows. Their remarkably diverse artistic practice features jargon used in American PR, which they have appropriated in order to criticize economic and techno-scientific developments. Their works are satirical reactions to the exaggerated statements of those who advocate transcendental technology and unending growth and their critics.
