Duncan Campbell (b. 1972) was the winner of the 'Baloise Art Prize' at Art Basel 2008. The award-winning work Bernadette will now enter into the collection of the MUMOK as a donation by the Bâloise Group and will be shown along with other works. Bernadette is based on the story of the Irish political activist Bernadette Devlin, and it explores the historical context and methods of representing history with open and experimental methods. In the process, Campbell develops both a portrait of an exceptional personality as well as a critical and intelligent analysis of documentary strategies. Duncan Campbell lives and works in Glasgow.
