The Neue Aachener Kunstverein is pleased to present for Summer 2010 new Jahresgaben featuring younger talents in combination with a selection of notable earlier Jahresgaben of internationally renowned artists.
This grouping forms new lines of free association and discursive ties between the existing art works and the new, current Jahresgaben, which has been especially created for the Neue Aachener Kunstverein.
Newly featured are works by the Berlin-based, American artist duo Aids–3D (born 1985, 1986), the Belgian artist Danai Anesiadou (born 1973), Berlin-based artist Thomas Kratz (born 1972), and the Argentinian artist Valentina Liernur (born 1978). These positions form a dialogue with editions by Edgar Arceneaux, Nairy Baghramian, Fiona Banner, Alexandre Da Cunha, Morgan Fisher, Michael Hakimi, Ellen Harvey,
Katie Holten, Christian Marclay, Kris Martin, Lucy McKenzie, John Miller, Jonathan Monk, and Albrecht Schäfer.
