The personal Curriculum Vitae, the universally recognized documentary table of the individual life, training and work stations, suffers due to the flight a massive disruption. What happens after such an interruption? What will happen next and where does the new path lead to? Within the exhibition project the Nassauischer Kunstverein is paving the way for the participating artists to become equal members of society and actively provides them with social and professional perspectives.
The exhibition project is divided into two phases: First, the Nassauischer Kunstverein offers free studio space for escaped artists as the extremely cramped living conditions of transitional accommodation lack this important space for creative development. Later there will be an exhibition from January 16th to February 28th, 2016. The space for artistic work and the provision of an institutional framework for a first exhibition in combination with a small publication should give the participants the possibility to reconnect to their professional careers. It should also provide a good start for a meaningful continuation of the personal CV.
It has been deliberately refrained to give the exhibition an overlaying title as not to restrict the artists to one topic. Instead there will be 10 individual solo positions on display in the Villa of the Kunstverein, which share their experience of flight and expulsion.
