Cherry and Martin is pleased to present a group exhibition with new and previously unseen works by Brian BRESS, Matt CONNORS, Mari EASTMAN, Nathan MABRY and T. Kelly MASON. The exhibition includes sculptures, videos, paintings and light-boxes.
Brian BRESS's recent and upcoming solo museum exhibitions and projects include the Museum of Contemporary Art, Denver (Denver, CO); Museo d'arte contemporanea Roma (MACRO)(Rome, Italy); Santa Barbara Museum of Art (Santa Barbara, CA); and New Museum (New York, NY). His work was recently included in "The Universal Addressability of Dumb Things," at Nottingham Contemporary (Nottingham, UK) curated by Turner prize winning artist Mark Leckey.
Matt CONNORS's current and upcoming museum group shows include "Outside the Lines" at the Contemporary Art Museum (Houston, TX) and “Painter, Painter” at the Walker Art Center (Minneapolis, MN). Recent solo and two-person museum exhibitions include “Impressionism,” MOMA PS1 (New York); “Gas... Telephone... One Hundred Thousand Rubles,” Kunsthalle Düsseldorf (Düsseldorf, Germany) and “Concentrations 54: Matt Connors and Fergus Feehily,” Dallas Museum of Art (Dallas, TX).
Mari EASTMAN's work is the subject of a solo exhibition at Monte Clark Gallery (Vancouver, BC) in August. Eastman will participate in Cherry and Martin's presentation at FIAC in Paris in October. Her work has been seen in museum exhibitions at such institutions as the Berkeley Art Museum (Berkeley, CA); Hammer Museum (Los Angeles, CA); Museum Morsbroich (Leverkusen, Germany); the Kunstverein Oldenburg (Oldenburg, Germany).
In June, Nathan MABRY's work was the subject of a solo exhibition at the Nasher Sculpture Center (Dallas, TX). Mabry's work has appeared in exhibitions at the Hammer Museum (Los Angeles, CA); Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego (La Jolla, CA); the Parrish Art Museum (South Hampton, NY); and Palm Springs Art Museum (Palm Springs, CA).
T. Kelly MASON, winner of the 2013 Fellows of Contemporary Art grant, will participate in an exhibition at FOCA opening July 27th. Mason's work was recently included in "A Point of View: Selected Gifts from the Laurence A. Rickels Collection," at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles. His work has been seen in exhibitions at Hammer Museum (Los Angeles, CA); Museum of Contemporary Art (Los Angeles, CA); Museum of Contemporary Art (San Diego, CA); Pinakothek der Moderne (Munich, Germany); Whitney Museum of American Art (New York, NY); Institute of Contemporary Arts (London, UK); Kunsthalle Dortmund (Dortmund, Germany); Los Angeles County Museum of Art (Los Angeles, CA); Kunsthalle Basel (Basel, Switzerland); Suermondt Ludwig Museum (Aachen, Germany); Aachen Kunsthalle (Aachen, Germany); Salzburg Kunstverien (Salzburg, Austria); and Louisiana Museum of Modern Art (Humlebaek, Denmark).
