Created in 2007 by artists Isaac Brest and Alex Perweiler, the Still House Group aims to provide an alternative work structure for emerging artists that prioritizes the development and exchange of ideas over the widely dominant gallery-driven art system. The permanent roster of artists in the group work in the same studio space and are encouraged to present and discuss their work at various stages of development with the other members of the group. Together, the group organises exhibitions, develops projects aand continues to examine alternative means of art production and display.
