The Itinerant Visual Arts Exhibition ERTIBIL BIZKAIA organised by the Regional Council of Bizkaia kicks off at Sala Rekalde in Bilbao and will travel through the municipalities of Amorebieta-Etxano, Ortuella, Lekeitio, Barakaldo, Basauri, Santurtzi, Arrigorriaga, Ermua and Gernika-Lumo. As a new feature this year, ERTIBIL will be on display for the first time at the Montehermoso Cultural Centre in
Vitoria-Gasteiz, where its journey will draw to a close on 12 January 2014.
The awarded artists in the XXXI edition of ERTIBIL BIZKAIA are: Patrik Grijalvo, Amaia Gracia Azqueta and José David Romero Martín. The other seventeen selected artists are: Julen Agirre Egibar, María Andrés Sanz, Saray Blades, Juana García-Pozuelo, Inés García, Rakel Gómez Vázquez, Edurne González Ibáñez, Eduardo Hurtado, Miriam Isasi, Edurne Martínez Arroyo, Saray Pérez Castilla, Sarah Rasines, Ana Riaño, Javier Rodríguez Pérez-Curiel, Laurita Siles, Cristian Villavicencio and Diego Vivanco.
The aim of the show, which first saw the light of day in 1983, is to support and promote the province’s emerging artists, as well as individuals from other Autonomous Communities and European countries who engage in creative work in Bizkaia.
