Stella Hamberg develops a sculptural world of images, in which she moves between reality and fiction. Stylistic and textual ruptures asking for the humane or lively mint her sculptural language. Cultural and subjective attitudes and verities, holiness and profaneness circulate round each other in a sort of archaic undertone. Her sculptural formulation corresponds to an esthetical dialectic, in which the image develops a momentum of its own, to an independent, dreamlike reality, which is frequently newly born out of itself. The artist transforms the found space into an image space both in her groups, like in the temporary ensembles. The observer is inside the image.
