Robert Wiens
27 Jan - 05 Mar 2011
This exhibition marks Wiens’ return to themes he explored in the 1980s and 90s with works such as The Rip and Desert, Jet. Two new works on radically different scales shift our perceptive senses and slowly reveal subtle details as one peers through each of their windows. Installed in the main gallery, Dam imagines a primordial boreal forest completely removed from human activity. On the second floor, a lone architectural model titled Maquette turns a seated figure into an enigmatic Brutalist construction.
