Tina Schulz concerns herself with the individual means of art reception. Her work revolves around strategies of appropriation and quotation, as well as notions of scientific camouflage, persiflage and replication. Her installations process different modes of representing and communicating art and art history via texts and objects, incorporating the found material through a process of subjective reading and interpretation. The resulting ‘reception spaces’ are fragmentary and disjointed, possessing a highly fictional quality: the ultimate image is within the mind of the viewer.Tina Schulz beschäftigt sich mit individuellen Rezeptionsweisen von Kunst. Ihre Arbeit beruht auf Strategien der Aneignung, des Zitats, der wissenschaftlichen Camouflage, der Persiflage und Kopie. In ihren Installationen verarbeitet sie unterschiedliche Repräsentations- und Vermittlungsformen von Kunst und Kunstgeschichte auf der Text-, Objekt- und Bildebene, wobei das vorgefundene Material von ihr stets einer eigenen Lesart und Bedeutungsproduktion unterzogen wird. Die entstehenden »Rezeptionsräume« sind bruchstückhaft angelegt und besitzen ein stark fiktionales Moment: das letzte Motiv liegt im Kopf des/r Betrachters/in.
