CALLA HENKEL AND MAX PITEGOFF
Start a Magazine
26 October - 9 December 2012

Tomorrow is proud to announce an exhibition of new works by Calla Henkel and Max Pitegoff. They work in performance, sculpture and photography, and recently closed their artist dive bar in Berlin. Times provided a generative social reality that locates their interest in economy, performance and service. Their output, which includes candy-coloured cocktail glasses and photographic documents of the service industry, operate as an adjunct archive that investigates labour and its performance.

In three framed photographs Calla Henkel and Max Pitegoff challenge the viewer to “Start a Magazine.”

The gallery ceiling will wear the sculpture Berlin Necklace, parts of which (including a shirt from Nhu Duong's S/S 13 collection) were generously transported from Berlin in the luggage of Travis Boyer, Michelle Ceja, Mirak Jamal, Matthew Lutz-Kinoy, Dena Yago and the artists.

Calla Henkel and Max Pitegoff will also present a text titled "2012" about recently closed artist-run spaces in Berlin.
