SYMBOLS OF POWER

Ulrike Mundt studied Sculpture in Dresden. She builds installations and kinetic objects, some of which generate noise. Her artistic language expresses individual as well as collective memories and codes as concrete object manifestations. Her work often refers to forms of structurally determined power and dominance in a humorous or ironic way or makes a sarcastic statement regarding symbols of power, such as surveillance cameras.
