Zeno X Gallery is pleased to present Luc Tuymans' fourteenth solo exhibition at the gallery.
Light, mostly indoors, as a claustrophobic phenomenon is explored in intimate, domestic spaces. Simultaneously, beneath the surface, the impact of commercialism on our daily lives can be felt as a continual presence. The seven paintings were conceived as a group and especially for the space in which they will be seen for the first time. Touching on the notion of the interior, the paintings turn themselves inside out, offering a reflection on how market influences and the spaces in which we live shape us with an almost invisible self-evidence.
