Chasing Shadows. Santu Mofokeng. Thirty years of photographic essays

In his photo-essays Santu Mofokeng reflects on the world as he has been observing it for thirty years. A vision that is nourished from within the South African context that formed him, but does not end here. Mofokeng connects the grand themes that control today's world and the everyday reality reflecting these themes. His oeuvre demonstrates a critical homage of the will to survive in the indomitable human mind.

Chasing Shadows is a co-production with Jeu de Paume, Kunsthalle Bern and Bergen Kunsthall and is a collaboration with DeBuren, Brussels.
