Extra City

Simultaneously with the first Cross-examination, Extra City presents the first work in the series 'Elements for a Retrospective': ‘Someone you’ve never seen before’ by Steve van Den Bosch, accompanied by an introductory text by curator Philippe Pirotte. 'Elements for A Retrospective', a series of long-term installations at Extra City, which document conversations with artists taking place outside the regular exhibition program. As their density increases and as their presence deflects the experience of exhibitions installed in their proximity, the works mark the stations of an affective parcours, where the object of the ‘retrospective’ look is positioned halfway between artist and institution.
