IN STEFANIE BÜHLERS SCULPTURES...In Stefanie Bühlers sculptures, invisible and incapable nature is united with everyday life situations. Provincial looking humans move in highly complex nature phenomenon, the universe is nothing but a night sky above a rural area of the Alps. In her sculptures, which entail both the sublime and human simplicity, 200 million years of earth history are condensed to one moment.
Stefanie Bühler demonstrates a precise sense of timelessness, but without anachronism, and she grants a familiar view into the yawning abyss of the inconceivable.
Stefanie Bühler is holder of the Marion-Ermer-Prize 2005. She lives and works in Dresden.
