Acoustic Thought in the Arts

Records designed by painters, sound poetry to thumb through, the acoustic protocol of building an exhibition pressed into vinyl – the artist Bernhard Cella stages an exhibition of historical and contemporary works on the topic of sound and book in the form of a “shop within the shop” at the Salon für Kunstbuch.
Without ignoring the complexity of visual culture, contemporary fine artists turn to the listening experience and explore it once again. Different formats, including sound poetry, radio art, and voice records with original source material will be presented. The majority of the exhibits shown at come from the Löwenbrück collection in Berlin. Many are available for purchase as special editions. In addition, international guests present their current works and publications in the context of salon evenings.
