Within the scope of the B3 Biennale, Galerie Anita Beckers will present the German gallery premire of the american video artist William Lamson. The work „In the Roaring Garden“ refers to the temporary home of author Henry David Thoreau and where his book with the same name was written. Lamson’s film creates virtual days and nights while recorded landscape illuminates the room, reimagining Thoreau’s cabin as an ethereal artist studio.
His work has been shown at (Selection): Brookyln Museum; Museum of Fine Arts Santa Fe, Utah Museum of Contemporary Art and Indianapolis Museum of Art.
