ARoS Aarhus Kunstmuseum takes great pleasure in presenting the American video artist Bill Viola in collaboration with Guggenheim Bilbao, Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum New York and Deutsche Guggenheim Berlin. With the present exhibition, BILL VIOLA Visions, ARoS, as the first art museum to do so in Scandinavia, is proud to present the work of this world-class artist, whose epoch-making work with the living image and the moving image has instilled new dimensions into our understanding of art’s aesthetic possibilities and existential content. BILL VIOLA Visions is a comprehensive presentation of Viola’s major works from the late decade: Going Forth By Day (2002), Surrender (2001), Five Angels for the Millennium (2001), The Messenger (1996) og The Crossing (1996).
