This group show brings together some of the outstanding positions of contemporary American Westcoast artists.
The title is part of the title of a piece by Sam Durant. His work refers to a performance by Beuys which was supposed to be mirrored by Robert Morris. This dialogue never happened.
In many ways though within the contemporary conceptual works by LA based artists there is a strong threat of crititcal artistic production which refers to European practise and definitions of art production. This group exhibiton of video works and sculpture, aims to reflect on these outstanding artist positions.
