Barbara Weiss has been working with Belgian artist Raoul De Keyser since 1988, and is now looking forward to presenting Oever, a new show with ten paintings.
Oever is the Flemish word for shore.
By retaining a title in his own language Raoul De Keyser playfully hints at one way of looking at his abstract paintings.
Raoul De Keyser was born in Deinze in Belgium, and lives and works in Astene in Belgium.
Recently, Raoul De Keyser’s work has been in solo-shows at the Whitechapel Art Gallery, London (2004), the Musée départemental d’art contemporain de Rochechouart (2004), the Museu Serralves, Museu de Arte Contemporanea, Porto (2004), and the Kunstmuseum St. Gallen (2005).
