TOBIAS HAUSER
Cette terre est libre
4 - 27 March 2016
Tobias Hauser is showing the exhibition Cette terre est libre in the context of the first edition of our Zuspiel series this year.
Inspired by a 1792 pen and ink drawing by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe of a tree of liberty with a plaque on its trunk bearing the inscription “Cette terre est libre”, Hauser erected his own tree of liberty and dismantled it again in eight different locations in Berlin.
At the Künstlerhaus Bethanien, the tree of liberty will be shown together with the newly arranged and modified photographic documentation.
