"Äpfel und Birnen"
Sutton Lane is pleased to present 'Äpfel und Birnen', an exhibition of prints by Christoph Ruckhäberle.
This is the first time that the artist has exhibited work in this medium. The printmaking processes provide an ideal environment for Ruckhäberle's interest in line and the process of working with successive layers and colours. For 'Äpfel und Birnen' the artist has produced nine linocuts, in colour and black and white, and ten colour lithographs.
Recent exhibitions include the Sammlung Essl, Austria, the Rubell Family Collection, MoCA, North Adams, Massachusetts, USA, and "From Leipzig: Works from the Ovitz Family Collection", at the Cleveland Museum of Art, Cleveland, Ohio, USA. In 2005, Sutton Lane co-published "Die Flasche Bakbuk", a catalogue of Christoph Ruckhäberle's works to date, with Zach Feuer Gallery, Galerie Kleindienst & Galleri Nicolai Wallner.
In November 2006 Christoph Ruckhäberle will have an exhibition of paintings at Sutton Lane - Paris (opening November 18th).
