The CCA Andratx is pleased to present the new exhibition by German artist Dörte Lehnigk. "In Dialogue" displays her latest series of works on paper by presenting about twenty works, in small and large format.
Dörte Lehnigk’s style has evolved from both indoor and outdoor landscape series, to result in her latest and renowned style, in which minimalist human figures take centre stage. Her works are based on the direct observation of everyday life, actions and feelings. These events are put together with her own experiences, resulting in extremely intimate works, in which the viewer is forced to dive in. The characters are extracted from their environment and are presented in open and abstract spaces that create tensions between real and unreal; ambiguity in its pure state.
