Young Photojournalists at the 64th Berlinale
16 February – 22 April 2014
13 young photographers were given the assignment of presenting their personal view of the 64th Berlinale on the glamorous film stars, audience impressions, or secrets. With a special accreditation, the participants had the opportunity to try out their skills as professional photojournalists every day from 6th to 16th February 2014 at the Red Carpet and at a variety of special events. Each photographer has decided on a theme, embarked on a search for motifs, selected images, and put together a series of works for exhibition. Latest results will presented on www.emerge-mag.com every day.
The works submitted by the participants where be judged by a specialist jury. The three best nominated participants received a professional Canon photo equipment.
1st prize: Xiomara Bender
2nd prize: Susanne Erler
3rd prize: Simon Becker
The photos of all photographers are presented in an open-air exhibition until 27 April 2014 at C/O Berlin in front of the Amerika Haus.
All winners will also be presented on emerge-mag.com.
This years participants were: Simon Becker, Xiomara Bender, Susanne Erler, Carina Feneis, Dominik Fleischmann, Sveta Goldstein, Sabine Kelka, Przemyslaw Nieciecki, Christin Raubuch, Christian Mamoun Sarges, Jasmin Scherer, Milena von Bruchhausen and Karol Wysmyk.
