Sèvres Outdoor 2014 is dedicated to the exhibition of outdoors contemporary artworks in the gardens of the Cité de la céramique à Sèvres, an innovative event in the international contemporary art scene.
Inspired by biennals and art fairs, this model of exhibition will bring together the contemporary art galleries member of the association Galeries Mode d’Emploi. This initiative is the result of a common desire between the Cité de la céramique à Sèvres and the GME association to promote and share contemporary art.
The Cité de la céramique is known for its historical commitment to contemporary creators. Since always, artists from all horizons are invited in residencies such as Pierre Soulages, Fabrice Hyber and more recently Giuseppe Penone and Elmar Trenkwalder. It is in the gardens of over 4 hectares of this building built during the 19th century that over fourty works will be presented.
Sèvres Outdoors 2014 will offer a new and original way of development.
June 26 to June 29, 2014
A 4 days event will get together the professionals of the contemporary art market in an exceptional environment.
June 30 to September 19, 2014
A free exhibition will be open to the public all summer long from 10am to 6pm.
Sèvres Outdoors 2014 will end on the European Heritage Days, on September 20 and 21, 2014.
