Sophie Wiltshire "Encounters"
12 Mar - 25 Apr 2015
Tommaso Corvi-Mora is pleased to present an exhibition of new work by Sophie Wiltshire.
The title of the exhibition refers to many kinds of encounters: first, last, close, scientific and fictional. All of the works in the exhibition describe different meetings between humankind and nature, touching upon remarkable moments in natural history. The connection between the natural world and personal human histories, the way in which these two spheres meet and intermingle has always played a central role in Sophie Wiltshire’s work.
Sophie Wiltshire studied ceramics first at Bath Spa University, subsequently completing an MA course in Ceramics at the Royal College of Art in 2012. This is her first solo exhibition at Corvi-Mora.
The gallery is open Tuesday to Saturday 11am to 6pm.
