UT (OET) WOUTER KLEIN VELDERMAN AND KRISZTINA DE CHÂTEL
11 June — 27 July 2016
On June 11, 2016 the book Hoe de dingen ons bewegen (How things move us) was published. In this polyphonic collection of essays, edited by Bernke Klein Zandvoort and Caroline Ruijgrok, 24 writers, artists and scientists research how everyday objects effect us.
Following the book Bernke Klein Zandvoort and Caroline Ruijgrok organized a performance night, Are you a sculpture? with Emilio Moreno, Rosa Sijben and Sarah Boers and Ibelisse Guardia Ferragutti. During this evening Wouter Klein Velderman and Krisztina de Châtel invited the public for a stroll through the literary landscape of de Appel arts centre.
The library proved to be a very suitable habitat to portray images from their previous performance ÚT (OET) (2014). A biotope where the dolphin presents itself as a guide in your search for the right page while here and there a sculpture askes the stacked books for a dance.
The reminiscences of the performance can be seen as an installation on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons from 14:00 to 18:00 in the library
