The exhibition at Nahum Street is a new series of neon signs.
Signs that advertise themselves, unique signs that offer the viewer the opportunity to see the origin of the work, the very start of the process of communication, the conception of a new idea that has no defined end.
Companies in Berlin, London, New York, Paris, Turin and Tel Aviv have been commissioned to produce a neon sign to their own exacting standards.
The artist’s input was kept to a minimum.
He merely began the process, which now fills the space with a bright and colourful glow.
Monk sees the work as an endless series of new beginnings.
