Galerie EIGEN + ART, Berlin presents his video-works of the last years in correspondence with his works on paper and his scripts emerged on his journeys:
Box: designed home and defined household effects, the univers of Mrs. S. (an inventory)
Box: cementory of heroes - probe on a free field (with a metal-detector above the site of the crash by B., earthworks 1)
Box: testimonials of classic fightculture (earthworks 2)
Box: 1000 years beauteousness (cultural heritage in the food chain of microbes)
Box: scripts of the cultural fight, three sentence structure (a literature-touristic journey to the ruins of the Sovjet Union)
Box: Market days, encounter with Mrs. 43 and Mr. 12 (Documents of a voyeur on duty )
Box: Archoplast, pictographism as archaeological principle (a journey from Güstrow to Hannover)
Box: Balkan fever (a journey through Serbia and Montenegro, Republika Srpska and Albania)
This year, Jörg Herold is granted with the art-award of Stadt Wolfsburg 2005 - „Junge Stadt sieht Junge Kunst“. In this connection, the exhibition „Wolfsburger Skizzen - Reisebeschreibungen eines Dokumentararchäologen“ at Städtischen Galerie der Stadt Wolfsburg will take place (June 9th 2005 - November 20th 2005), which will be accompanied by an extensive publication (Hatje Cantz Verlag, 240 pages, 100 coloured images).
Jörg Herold is also invited for a solo-exhibition at Kunstverein Bielefeld. The show with the title „Dokumentararchäologie“ will take place from November 5th 2005 - December 23rd 2005. In Wolfsburg, Jörg Herold will present his latest works. In Bielefeld a survey of his projects will be shown.
