In the next show of the Erika Deak Gallery we seletected paperworks works from 17 artists. Personal stories, diary details, forgotten memory pieces, paperinstallations will cover the gallery walls.

As a child, one of the first materials we meet to express our thougth is the paper. We draw first before we learn how to write, and this very personal relationship with the material stays with us in our adult life as well. The medium of paper, however, means different things to artists. For Zoltán Ádám working on paper is always a mystical process, while for József Bullás and Dénes Ghyczy likes the immediate relation of paper and paint while experimenting different colorvariations. Zsuzsa Moizer’s pencil drawings seem to be the diary details of today’s woman. Sensual and mythical themes appear in Orshi Drozdik’, Róbert Swierkiewicz’ and Alexander Tinei’s works, while their stories remain very personal. Kinga Hajdú and Zoltán Ádám does the same, but they stories are put in the bubble of tradition and history. Attila Szucs’s playful drawings tell us about the concrete and imagined spaces of memory, while László Fehér’s little boy balances on the invisible fields of history. Concrete travels, city themes and art historical references give the core of iski Kocsis Tibor and Adrián Kupcsik’s drawings, while IRWIN’s conceptual piece is typical of their works. Gábor Pintér’ and Viktoria Hitka’s loose drawings are as playful as a childgame, Sandor Bartha’s work remind us to the exciting world of caricatures. Éva Magyarósi’s large size drawings fed by personal experineces, while Basil Dusilkovich builds his installation from lyrical memory shreds.
