In his presentation Achim Lengerer refers back to his 2006 exhibition Blows into the microphone: Is it all right? Voice off mike: It’s all right. Pause. in the Kunsthalle Exnergasse. Following the Kölnischer Kunstverein and the Transmission Gallery in Glasgow, Vienna will be the third station of the exhibition and performance series Pictures exemplify... where Lengerer looks back at the settings of his past exhibitions, revoking and transforming their original shape and format in such a way to stage himself as an observer of his own work.
tisch im raum is a recurring exhibition format designed as a laboratory, a space for dialogue and a dinner table landscape, self-organizing and intervening in the exhibition-free intermediate spaces of Kunsthalle Exnergasse. Guests who investigate diverse phenomena of the art field present an artistic position that is relevant in their work and enter into a dialogue with another invited guest. The evening closes together with the audience at a dinner table in the exhibition space.
