The press release is in the form of title credits (to be read aloud).

Following “Passage (à la ligne)” in 2016, galerie frank elbaz is pleased to present the by now traditional new exhibition by Bernard Piffaretti. The show will feature paintings from 2019 and 2020 as well as a painting from the “Factice” series from 1981.

The colors were mainly created by Starcolor.

The exhibition was hung by Bernard Piffaretti and Frank Elbaz

with the help of Lucas Chauveheid and Julien Pelloux.

The show was organized by Anna Kraft, Lucie Berezowa and Clara Berthiaux.

The title of the exhibition is Acteur.

However, between February 29 and April 25, neither Brigitte Bardot, nor Michel Piccoli, let alone Jack Palance, will be making an appearance.

The paintings will be the real actors.

As always, each painting is divided by a central strip of paint.

Lacking the “contempt” of the past, Victor Stoïchita argued in 1993 that with the emergence of the self-aware image the metapictorial work had established the basis of the modern world.

Acteur is the story of this world.
