La Galerie Frank Elbaz est heureuse d’annoncer la deuxième exposition personnelle à la galerie de Gyan Panchal. C’est à partir de matériaux standards composant notre environnement d’aujourd’hui que Gyan Panchal interroge nos codes de construction du réel. Il s’intéresse à la fabrication et à l’usage de ces standards, en considérant le matériau depuis son origine jusqu’à son devenir potentiel. Plexiglas, polystyrène, polyamide, constituent autant d’outils, d’instruments et d'abris. Associant le manufacturé au manuel, la fonction à l’ornement, l’abstrait au fétiche, le futur au primitif, le réel à la fiction, le travail de Gyan Panchal nous invite à une lecture irrésolue des signes de la production du présent.

Starting from standard materials that compose today’s environment, Gyan Panchal's work questions our codes for constructing reality. He is interested in the making and the use of these standards, considering the material from its origin to its potential outcome. Perspex, polystyrene or polyamid constitute as many tools, instruments and shelters. Combining the manufactured with the hand-made, function with ornament, abstract with fetish, future with primitive, reality with fiction, Gyan Panchal proposes an unresolved approach to contemporary signs of production.
