NAVID NUUR
The Value of Void
5 December 2009 - 14 February 2010

The Dutch artist Navid Nuur (born in Teheran, 1976) presents his first major exhibition outside the Netherlands. The processual nature plays a key role in Nuurs art. His installations, drawings and objects act as 'models of thinking'. Nuur is interested in the so-called 'Intermediate', in the in-between where a concept evolves into form. He often works with objects and materials from everyday life, like - in THE VALUE OF VOID - water bottles, a garbage container, materials for plastic flowers or ice cream. All of those grow organically into installations and undergo a shift of their respective meaning and function.
