THOMAS ZIPP
"Mens sana in corpore sano"
March 13 - June 13, 2010
With Mens sana in corpore sano Thomas Zipp (born in Heppenheim, Germany, 1966) will transform the entire 2.000 square meter of the Kunsthalle Fridericianum into a mental hospital.
His artistic media are very diverse, ranging from small drawings, etchings and collages to large-scale paintings on canvas up to room-filling sculptural installations and video. Interventions into the architecture of the exhibition space are a common artistic means for Zipp. Old works will be shown together with new works produced specifically for Mens sana in corpore sano, the largest exhibition of the artist so far
